Supervisor
– Mechanic
Requirements
for this position minimum Senior High School or Mechanical Engineer or 5 years
apprentice program; minimum of 3 years field experience in large mining or
construction industry in similar role; supervision skill; familiar with OEM
products in Heavy Equipments mostly Big Digger Excavators (Liebherr, Hitachi,
& Caterpillar) and other support HE Dump Trucks, Dozers, Motor Graders, IR
Drill machine; knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, Compliance
requirements, Cost containment, Computer literate and good English
communication skills both written and verbal.
Reporting to
Mechanic Senior Supervisor, you will responsible to plan and coordinate repair
and service for mechanical of equipment according to TMS Plant Department
policies and procedures to ensure availability targets and budgets are
achieved; lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure
outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes
and the business results.

Planner –
Component
To be
successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Degree in Mechanical
Engineering with 3 years experiences in site maintenance & planning; high
initiative; performance driven; good planning skill; capability of managing
relationship and develop others; fluent in English both oral and written/good
communication skill; computer literacy.
Reporting to
Plant Planning Supervisor, you will assist the Superior to contribute to TCI
Plant Objectives through the establishment and ongoing refinement of a best
practice model for plant maintenance planning and engineering related issues;
coordinating the Component forecasting with OEM's and component planners and
ensuring the component availability are well managed; ensure Planning
department goals are achieved in component scheduling; ensure component
forecasting are generated properly then to be distributed to appropriate
people; ensure any component availability exposures in the 1 and 3 year
forecast are identified and solutions recommended; provide planning support to
manage component issues and standard part list development; ensure JDE is fully
understood and used to its fullest potential to record the machines /
components history accurately; ensure Plant related systems are clearly
understood and used to support Planning / Engineering related issues; ensure
planning / engineering tasks are carried out in accordance with TMS procedures
and / or guidelines.

Apprentice Master
This position is responsible to provide mechanical/electrical
trade and allied training for Thiess personnel in order to increase the
productivity, maintenance and repair; to improve personnel's capability; to
conduct relevant training & coaching program both in class and field for
tradesmen & apprentices; to develop, review, revise and amend training
packages and lesson plans; to conduct assessment activities that meet company
requirements; to be involved in the planning of training activities in order that
training facilities & resources are optimized; assist in conducting
competency assessment for apprentices and conduct document control procedures
in accordance with company requirement.
This role requires recognized
Trade and / or mechanical engineering Qualifications or ex Thiess Apprentices
with at least 1 year field experience in similar role; certificate IV in
Training; understanding of Industry practice and standard; ability to work
effectively with others and related to colleagues and ability to cope with
additional responsibilities; computer literacy and excellent English
communication skill -written and verbal; and having knowledge in OEM's product
such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi, and other H/E products.
